Borage

Written by

An annual herb native to the Mediterranean region, which is also known as a starflower. Borage is grown in parts of Europe, because the leaves are edible and may be effective for reducing fever, cough, and depression. The plant is also cultivated commercially, because the plant contains compounds that are hepatotoxic, mutagenic and carcinogenic.
